"Romeo and Juliet Windmill" is a tablerunner designed and pieced by Barb Voss and quilted by Marilyn Olson for the Country Sampler. The tablerunner measures 27" x 55" and consists of applique Windmill blocks, alternate blocks, sashing and borders..
The Romeo and Juliet Windmill was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and completed in 1897. It stands on the Taliesin Estate in the Town of Wyoming south of Spring Green Wisconsin. Many of the fabrics in the quilt model are from the March Balloons Collection based on Frank Lloyd Wright designs created for the covers of Liberty Magazine in
1926-27. A portion of the sales of the fabrics goes to the Frank Lloud Wright Foundation.
The kit contains the fabrics needed to complete the quilt top including the binding. The pattern "Romeo and Juliet Windmill" is sold separately. Need 1 3/4 yards backing.
