"Por la Senorita Antonia" is an antique reproduction sampler pattern by Siren Stitchworks.  This redwork alphabet sampler was stitched in 1847 and dedicated to Senorita Antonia Roberta Labra. Who was Miss Antonia?  Perhaps a teacher or a friend. And are the stitcher's initials represented by the extra "C" and "H" that appear in one of the alphabets? Even as this sampler's origins remain a mystery, its bright red threads continue to captivate, even more than a century after it was created.
